6th Class School Tour
For our school tour we visited the Epic Ireland museum and we had a guided tour on the Jeanie Johnston boat. We have been learning about the Great Famine and Irish Emigration in school. I really enjoyed looking around the boat and seeing how our ancestors survived the famine. I also really enjoyed walking through the museum and looking at all the cool pictures and interesting facts.
We learned that the boat was a replica of the real Jeanie Johnston boat and that there wasn't a single death on that boat because of the on board doctor, this was very unusual at the time. The museum was lots of fun, we got a passport that we would stamp in each exhibition along the way.
