December in Room 11

6th Jan 2025

December was a magical month in Fourth Class, packed with fun, learning, and festive activities! Here’s a glimpse into everything we got up to:

Creative Writing in English and Irish

We worked on our procedural writing skills, learning how to explain steps clearly and effectively. From writing about making delicious hot chocolate to holiday crafts, we shared our creativity in both English and Irish.

A Festive Blend of Fun and Tech

We got hands-on with some holiday treats, decorating gingerbread men. But we didn’t stop there! Using stop-motion animation on the iPads, we brought our holiday creations to life with some amazing mini-movies.

Money Matters

Math came to life as we explored money through engaging, hands-on activities. We practiced making change using Polypad on the iPads.

Spreading Christmas Cheer

Some of us had the wonderful opportunity to sing Christmas carols in the shopping center, spreading joy to all the community. Back at school, we performed our fabulous Christmas show for the parents, singing “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” and sharing some very funny jokes that had everyone laughing.

Farmer Tom’s Visit

A highlight of the month was a visit from Farmer Tom and his animals! We learned about life on the farm and got to meet some of his furry and feathery friends up close.

Holiday Crafts

We let our creativity shine by making clay Christmas decorations, which turned out beautifully. These are sure to become treasured keepsakes for years to come.

Celebrating Hard Work

To wrap up the term, we celebrated all our achievements with a well-deserved pajama party on the last day of school. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic month!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a well-earned rest. See you all in the New Year for more exciting adventures in Fourth Class! 🎄✨
