4th and 5th class pupils went shopping on Friday in Dunnes Stores, after lots of practice with money and setting up our own shop in Maths.
We wanted to make Rocky Road and needed to buy the ingredients. We wrote our shopping lists and made our budget.
When we got to Dunnes, we looked at prices and decided what was good value. Our calculators came in handy when checking if we had enough money!
We really enjoyed going out in the community and applying the skills and knowledge we learn at school.
