Summer Stars At Dublin City Libraries
Summer Stars is the free national public library reading initiative for children that runs from June 13th until the end of August. Be a Summer Star with Dublin City Libraries and earn prizes for reading!
All children are encouraged to continue to enjoy reading books throughout the summer months and earn Summer Stars prizes as they go. Children can join in by registering for a reading card from their local library at any time during the summer.
As well as the books in the library, children can enjoy e-books and e-audio books through the library’s BorrowBox app, with a special Summer Stars collection coming soon. This is free for all Dublin City Libraries members. Non-members can join Dublin City Libraries online for free here.
If you would like to register for the Summer Stars reading challenge, contact your local library.
We also have a competition where children can send in a photo of a cover of a library book that they enjoyed over the summer along with a few lines about why they liked it. Contact your local library for more information.
